You are bidding on a vintage Swedish tankard from the late 1800's. The stein is made of pewter-like material and is quite large measuring 81/8 inch tall and about 8 1/4 inch wide including the handle and is quite heavy. Note the ornate metal-work on this stein which has a commemerative coin on its top. The coin reads "CAROLVS XII D G REX SVECIAE. The front of stein has etched design with crown, shield and two lions. The bottom is marked F. Santesson Stockholm HVIT METALL R6. One side is etched XMAS '95 and the other side is etched with monogram looking like WGK. The lid does not fit quite flush and t are a few minor dings/dents in the stein body. The thumb-lift appears to be missing. Very nice metal working is seen along width of handle.
