This is an original signed watercolor by ORONZO GASPORO.Measures 10 1/4 x 10 1/4 inches with brown border on paper. Signed in 1923 by artist. Paper loss in top right corner. Taped along edges of front and back. Signed and titled on verso "Saint Anthony". Oronzo Gasparo (1903-1969 Italian-born artist Oronzo Gasparo studied art at the National Academy of Design in New York City w he was profoundly influenced by his work under the American painter Preston Dickinson. He spent some time working for the Works Progress Administration (WPA) during the Depression and exhibited widely throughout his lifetime, including exhibitions at the Museum of Modern Art, the Oakland Art Gallery, and the 1939 New York World’s Fair.
