Orrefors Sweden Art Deco Etched Cut Crystal Art GlassVase By Nils Landberg circa 1920-1930 Welcome to my auction! You are bidding for a vintage, and beautifully etched Orrefors vase created by Nils Landberg circa 1920-30's. The etched female figure with flowing hair appears "angelic" and is holding a draped banner. I don't know the significance of the scene, I think that it is probably mythological and appears quite ethereal. This wonderful and graceful cut crystal vase rests on a faceted stem and etched foot. It is one of Landberg's early creations and is signed with just the shortened "Of" for Orrefors. It includes the "N" for Landberg and is numbered #256. There are other marks which I think refer to the etching. I have included two very clear pictures of the identifying marks on the base. This elegant vase measures 11 3/4" high and is in very good condition, no chips, cracks, scratches or repairs, the crystal is bright and clear. The Orrefors Company was founded in 1898 in the province of Samaaland Sweden. It was fortunate to have some of the best glass masters to be found anywhere, and they produced marvelous bowls and vases. Some of the best known artists to work at the Orrefors Company were Edvard Hald, Vicke Lindstrand, and Nils Landberg.
