Ortelius extremely rare large map of Europe, 1588

I offer an ORIGINAL (no copy or reproduction!) of the large, rare, most sought after map of Ortelius of Europe. It is entitled "Europae" and depicts the European continent with part of the Asian and African continent as well. Its dimensions are circa 343 x 462 mm (plate). In additions there are large margins (see photos). It is a copper engraving which has been probably hand-colored at the time of his appearance (old hand-colored). It appeared in 1588. 300 copies of this map were produced in that year with Spanish text on verso. It belongs to the famous "Theatrum Orbis Terrarum" of Ortelius , considered the first modern Atlas, which was published starting by 1570. This is the secon state of the map of Europe, which replaced the first one in 1584. The map is in general in a good state (see photo). However, several imperfections are present (see photos). Among them are marginal tears and several, practically invisible small holes, which have been repaired. The details are exceptional and they reflect the already accurate knowledge of most of the European Continent reached in the XVI century. Note that the old colors are very delicate, nice. This is one of the most sought after old mpas of the European Continent. I ship using registered German airmail, which in the past was always reliable and not expensive, but other possibilities can be arranged.
