What a wonderful find! Here is a vintage early 1960s beehive blender by Oster. It is called an Osterizer Imperial Model 472. The base is done in an off white or cream color. The blender has 3 speeds with push button technology. They are labeled STR (stir), LOW and HI. There is a separate OFF button. This blender is covered with patent numbers dating its design to around 1961. The pitcher is made of heavy glass and holds 5 cups. The pitcher is in excellent condition with no chips or cracks. It has a plastic lid that is discolored from age but still in great condition. This wonderful vintage blender is working order. Those that have owned these units will testify to their durability not years of use but decades. Why spend a lot for one of the new remakes blenders that wont last nearly as long when you can have the original with all its quality?
