This is a great pair of early Ernst chaps. Marked on each side of the belt Otto Ernst maker Sheridan Wyo. Both marks good and clear. Chaps are all original except for a repair to the belt --see pictures. 3 nickel brass conchos on top and 3 nickel steel conchos on bottom of each leg that are starting to show quite a little rust. Pockets on both sides with the old rolled leather button. A real early pair that show use but are in pretty fair shape considering their age. All snaps and rings on the inside of the legs are t and complete with no additions of newer ones--all original looking to my knowledge and all show rust. Leather fairly soft and pliable. No stiffness. A great early pair from a great early Wyoming maker. Hard to find these that are not all tore up and patched. thanks for lookin and biddin. The picture with the broken leather string on the concho is the only one torn loose that I can see and also at the end of the belt repair w the rivet is it is somewhat weak but not real bad. A few stitches loose in a few places but nothing real bad. See pictures 6 and 7. Like I said chaps are in pretty fair condition considering age.
