This Auction is for a very rare vintage extra-large Tin Chest by E. Otto Schmidt (Lebkuchen in red and gold with colored lithographs. This is a beautiful old-city Nurnberg scenes in red black and gold stamped and raised decor on the border. The bottom of the chest is embossed E. Otto Schmidt Lebkuchen und Honig 8500 Nurnberg 1984 Made in W Germany. It has a slight dent that i can see on the inside bottom and has very little rust on inside bottom that will clean easily. The lithographs are in very good condition. Overall this is a very beautiful and impressive rare piece, not many in the US. This is a wonderful keepsake or gift box and a great decorating tin chest for anyone collecting rare beautiful tins. It also comes with a colored picture of a different view of the city and also a writing that was glued to the inside of the top lid that look's to tell a story of the making of the Tin Chest and picture on it. This item is sold as is and is very, very rare and colletable. This Tin Chest is 16-1/2 long about 7" high and 11-3/4 wide- Large Tin Chest. Insurance is included with shipping.
