You are bidding on an original oil painting on canvas, donated for auction by the Sarmiento Gallery of Cuzco, Peru; to benefit the Carmelite Sisters of that same city, as they recover from the terrible earthquake. Due to the earthquake, Sister Teresa was not able to complete as many paintings as she would have liked, so the Sarmiento Gallery stepped in and donated a group of Spanish Colonial Style paintings to make up the shortfall. These paintings were done by an artist whose specialty is the restoration of Spanish Colonial paintings for the Cathedrals in Peru. His style is different from Sister Teresa as he does not antique his paintings . They have the same vibrant colors as they would have had if painted over 300 years ago. Our Blessed Lady has a canvas size of 17 inches by 13 inches and you need to provide the frame and wood stretcher for the canvas. Each painting will be accompanied by a copy of a hand written thank-you letter from Sister Teresa, the same one she hand wrote in the pictures below . In that letter t are instructions on how to help the convent directly, if you wish to do so in the future. Good luck bidding!
