with 99 log cabin blocks, each made up of 50 individual pieces of solid and patterned silk with half of each square dark colors and the other half light. On the diagonal, light green silk backing and silk cross-stick at junction of squares and border. In total, over 4000 individual pieces. American, probably Northern Ohio, last half of the 19th century; 50" x 58".
Condition: A few of the silks with some damage; overall VG.
