Presented for your viewing and bidding pleasure is a simply outstanding cut crystal butter or cheese dish and beautiful dome cover. The lead content is quite high. The dome emits an almost bell tone ring when tapped. The dish and dome are heavy, weighing in at a little over 10 pounds. T's wonderful cutting and the deeper cuts display a rainbow of colors. The dome has a large cut crystal top, then comes deep pure cut swirls and finally hobstars, fine cuts and wonderful design. The dome is almost 8 1/4 inches in diameter and stands some 7 inches tall. The dish is larger at 10 3/8 inches in diameter. It has an inner rim that the dome fits over. That rim is about 1 1/4 inches tall. Beneath the dish are deep cuts meeting in the center. This seller believes this is a vintage piece with high lead content. It's probably a European blank. Close inspection shows no cracks or chips. T are some very tiny rough areas (under 10X magnification) but this seller believes they are from the manufacturing process. Beneath the dish are some scratches, nothing dramatic, from its time on display. Overall this seller would rate the condition at fine to very fine.
