Outstanding Early Maine Paint-Decorated "Sunflower" Bowl ______________________________________________________________________________________ Details of the Bowl This is a wonderful early paint-decorated "sunflower" bowl. This bowl has the most vivid and stiking paint I have ever witnessed in a paint-decorated New England bowl. This truly is an amazing piece of American folk-art. The large sunflower design is duplicated on the front and back of the bowl. The surface is excellent with a nice warm patina, and appropriate wear. The bowl is completely out of round and has an elevated rim, and modest height on the base of the bowl. Additionally this bowl is a wonderful small size. If you are a collector of early New England folk art, you will be excited when viewing this unique piece of Americana. Please e-mail with any questions prior to bidding. (special care with fragile items)My Qualifications and Experience I have been actively involved with antiques for 30 years and have been a dealer for 25 years. I began as a collector and evolved to the antique business because of my love for early Americana. During my years in the antique business, I have done prominant shows on the East Coast, Midwest and southern United States. I have a very good working knowledge of Americana, and always do my best to describe each item meticulously. The items I list on E-bay have been purchased through auction, at shows, and through personal contacts. I am always seeking things to purchase that are fresh to the market. Every item comes with a complete photo gallery which will help the potential buyer visualize the quality and it's unique characteristics.
