ITEM DESCRIPTION Up for your consideration is an exquisitely detailed reverse painting, from early post-war Japan. It features a mother, grooming her two children. As you can see, the detail is supurb, it was clearly painted be a master of this difficult technique. It is framed in a rosewood frame. The subject matter is quite unique, and really pops off the wall in a way that is unique to reverse-painted pieces. It features blues, greens, & tans, with various accent colors. This piece measures 23" by 16". CONDITION The condition of this piece is excellent throughout, with a few minor concerns. At the top of the frame, t is a minor crack. It isn't very deep, has no structural effect, and is hard to detect. T is also some very minor loss of paint near the frame, but the piece is over 99% complete. This level of completeness is uncommon for a piece of this vintage.
