Boy! Do I hate to part with THIS, but we are on a relentless downsizer so we can get to the Blue Ridge Mountains! For your consideration is a rare and wonderful example of ONE-OF-A-KIND Early American treenware/woodenware of the "functional early tool" variety we have collected over many years. This little gem was found over 30 years ago in the estate sale of a native Vermonter. We feel this spool holder dates from, latest, early 1800's. It measures 8+" tall, 3 1/2" across the spool platform and 4" across the BURLED base. The four little pegs, miraculously, have remained intact, although the piece has "loose fittings, a few old {now vacated} wormholes and a bit of an age split. [Sounds like retirement!!!] Low reserve, actual ship to zip. Happy hunting for your growing collection of "Goode Olde Stuffe"!
