Outstanding & Substantial 19th Century Anglo Indian Vizagapatam Table Work Box. Stunning late 19th Century Anglo Indian table work box of excellent proportions & superb quality throughout. Probably originates from the Vizagapatam region of India. Condition is really superb, there are only very minor signs of age i can honestly say that this is the best one i have seen & it has very clearly been well cared for over the years. Wonderful silver pinned fret work faux ivory detailing set against a faux tortoishell ground. Perfectly raised on four fine hand carved lions paw feet. Internal & external edges are also decorated beautifully. Interior has a lift out tray containing various compartments & an internal mirror in the lid, the lock & key is all original & work perfectly. A real treasure & a rare find in such super condition & offered with no reserve. Size:8 1/4 inches (21cm) wide, 6 1/8 inches (15.5cm) deep, 4 1/4 inches (10.8cm) high.
