Here is one of the more interesting pieces of Norwegian wood carving you will see in a while. I bought this from a very elderly Norwegian man in Minnesota, said it had been in his family for as long as he could remember. I am not positive a'sut its use, but that is what he told me its purpose was, to scoop up pieces of lutefisk out of the barrel, and the holes allowed it to drain in place so as not to get the lye solution all over???? This is a gorgeous piece of carving, it measures 17 1/2 inches from the fish's tail to the lip of the scoop. He has many more pieces of wooden Norwegian ware I hope to purchase in the future, he has no offspring, so keep your fingers crossed. This type of thing does not get much nicer than this!! DO NOT PAY VIA EBAYS INVOICE SYSTEM, THEY ARE WRONG MORE TIMES THAN NOT, WAIT FOR MY INVOICE!! Please excuse the higher handling cost, it is the only way ebay allows us to cover the cost of insurance, we sellers cannot afford to eat that cost, and once again, ebays stupid rules make it harder on seller and buyer alike. They just don't get it!!! INSURANCE WILL BE ADDED TO ALL ITEMS OVER 50.00. INTERNATIONAL BIDDERS ATTENTION: (NO EXCEPTIONS) All items, (regardless of weight) will be shipped either (A) Priority Mail or (B) Registered mail which is $10.80 in addition to shipping cost. The most economical option will be used. If it is $250 or more, it will be shipped EXPRESS mail, which can get expensive. This is to due to Paypal's rules, as there is no other way to verify delivery and I am getting tired of losing out because customs holds up or "loses" my packages. Paypal is prefered, but I will take whatever! All of the items you see listed in my auctions are fresh stuff, not from shops and auctions. I am and have been for 37 years, a door to door picker and that is where all my items come from. So keep a close eye on all my auctions, you never know what I will find!! We combine for shipping if you buy multiple items.
