Ovambo wood & clay doll - with hand made brass & aluminum beads and leather traditional dress. Description: A great fertility doll decorated with glass & hand made brass & aluminum beads. In perfect condition. A collectors dream. Comment: Many Namibian and South African tribes Nguni, Zulu, & Sotho are distantly related - all from the common Embo stock. This common origin is reflected in this doll that is similar to early Sotho clay dolls. (2 types of material are often used to make these dolls - clay and hornet nest wax.)Size: Height of doll is 225mm / 8.8 inches. TIRED OF BUYING FAKES ON THE INTERNET? I found it quite depressing. After the keen wait, you open the goods - to find it is a FAKE!(A VERY high proportion of African artifacts found on the Internet are fake!)Worse still, you may proudly show off your item to another more experienced collector & he explains to you that it is actually fake! You not alone - All of us collectors have been down that road. EVERY ONE OF US!RELAX & BUY WITH CONFIDENCE. I DO NOT SELL FAKES! As a collector who has spent years collecting in various parts of Africa, today I use my experience to save others from the disappointment of owning fakes.More than that YOU CAN RETURN YOU PURCHASE for a refund if it is not quite what you expected! Sellers: Delight buyers. Get your own map of past buyers.
