Old Doctor selling off lifetime collection of medical,dental and historical artifacts. The collection includes
surgical instruments and books related to medicine and dentistry, items that are tooth related from ivory, scrimshaw and skulls to raw tusks and carvings. These will be listed over the next few months as we sort through the volume of treasures we have accumulated over several lifetimes. Over 13" highly carved Chinese vase...lions heads on each side with thick ivory rings...carved 360 degrees all around...4" wide...nearly 5 lbs..A 3 1/2" crack on each side nearly closed except for the lowest 1/2" is 1/16th open...will leave repair to the buyer...very heavy...buyer won't be disappointed...an opportunity to own a great piece for a reasonable price...another of the ivory carvings from the Martin Davey collection...the Governor of Ohio in the 1920's..
