Actual scans of this 20 page brochure advertising the Oxford Retreat, Oxford Ohio "A Private Hospital for the Treatment of Mental & Nervous Diseases" Some scans are magnified No date is given but estimated at 1920-1930 Front covers are of construction paper folded with flaps Imprint of the hospital surround by elaborate design in Red, Green and Gold on both covers Brochure is about 6"x13" and bound by string through 3 holes Front cover is water stained and somewhat ragged about the top Back cover fairs better but still shows water stains Fep has some very minor soiling and some waviness Printers trademark on verso (scan) A water stain shows through most of the 20 pages at the bottom crease about 1"x2" Text is very good with the exception of the light water stain at the bottom A spot here and there but all legible and clean with no markings Many drawings of activities and photos of surrounding grounds, buildings and interior appointments R. Harvey Cook, M.D. Physician in Chief is pasted in under "For further information address" The last page of pictures is water stained with references on the back page
