Looking for something unusual? Well, it is. I googled this dish every way I could think of and found absolutely no reference to the Wallace pattern number or even a vague comment on the shape. Formed in the shape of an oyster shell 6 1/4 inch by 4 inch, this bowl is so realistic looking it merits a double-take. The growth ridges, found in a natural oyster, are faithfully recreated in this marvalous piece. The undulating interior surface picks up all the colors around it and projects an almost iridescent quality. T is one small ding in the bottom... almost invisible. I tried to capture it in the photos but it just wouldn't show. And as you see in picture 2, instead of the usual ball-type legs, this has one smooth bar positioned to stabilize the dish. It makes for a very modern and sleek statement. This bowl weighs in at 94 grams or 3.03 troy ounces. Being in Florida, we eat a lot of seafood and I am so tempted to keep this unusual dish. What a great way to serve the lemon wedges or even the cocktail or tartar sauce. I usually take take my photographs outside so any areas that appear dark or damaged would be the trees, clouds, or me. I take great pains to describe the items at auction truthfully and in total. After all... a happy customer is a repeat customer. I believe that I have described the above auction offering accurately
