This is a nice advertising Oyster Tin from CHINCOTEAGUE, VIRGINIA. It is a 8 Ounce McCREADY BRAND CHINCOTEAGUE SALT WATER OYSTERS, OYSTERS TIN / OYSTER CAN. PACKED BY McCREADY BROS., CHINCOTEAGUE, VA. . It has VA. 198 on the side of the can. This was their VIRGINIA Health Permit Seafood License Number. It is in unused condition with minor scratch wear. It has no dents. It is open at the bottom where it has never been sealed. Please view photos. Some other towns on the shore are: Parksley, Onancock, Exmore, Eastville and Cape Charles. If you collect SEAFOOD / OYSTER COMANY advertising items, Oyster cans / tins, items from McCREADY BROTHERS, items from CHINCOTEAGUE or EASTERN SHORE OF VA / VIRGINIA related items then this will make a nice addition to your collection or display.
