This remarkably beautiful coin is PROOF and enclosed in a protective plastic coin case which has never been opened. This is a great collector's item, as well as being a hedge against inflation. Silver bullion is selling at $25.33 per ounce today, according to . This coin is dated 1989 and was minted at the Philadelphia Mint. It contains one troy oz (31.072 g) of pure silver. The obverse is a beautiful design of Liberty Walking by Adolph A. Weinman (1870-1952). On the reverse is a heraldic eagle with shield, an olive branch in the right talon and arrows in the left, designed by John Mercanti.
