STRANGE BEDFELLOWS by Rick Herter "This fine limited edition lithograph by Rick Herter is an authentic representation of an event described in my book, Doorknob Five Two. Low on fuel, an Me.109 accepts a P-38 escort to Sicily. I am Fredric Arnold, the P-38 pilot depicted in the painting. I'm 84 years old and the last survivor of my original P-38 group. Time has come to divest myself of some of my WW II memorabilia. The artist, Rick Herter, is one of America's foremost aviation artists. His work is in the Pentagon, the Smithsonian, and favored by collectors. This superb numbered print is signed by the artist and me.
