This is a antique pre-linen postcard, captioned "Rhoads' Opera House After the Fire, January 13th, 1908, Boyertown, PA." In the lower right corner it says Pub. by J. O'Donnell Estate. On the back is a handwritten account of the fire, which reads "This is an exterior view of the opera house. No doubt you read something about it in the papers. I was over while it was burning. One of my friends and I left Pottstown at 25 minutes after eleven, and 12:05 we were at the fire. It was fierce. We could see the bodies piled up at the top of the stairs, and one hanging out of a window". The card is in good condition with lightly bumped corners. The card is postally unused, but has writing on the back. Unless you have purchased only one card, please wait for my invoice before you pay. If you qualify for combined shipping, and don't wait for the invoice, the system will not combine shipping due to a quirk in the program. I invoice every morning, for sales made the previous day. I invoice every Sunday evening for all cards remaining unpaid for at the end of that week. If you have made previous arrangements with me for billing, you may disregard any Sunday night invoice you receive. Otherwise, payment is appreciated as soon as possible. Postage is $2.50 first class mail in the US. I will ship 1 to 19 cards for the same $2.50 combined price read more
