Selling here are two wonderful OLD star form quilt templates – PA Dutch from Lancaster Co. I guarantee these are old and not the new “cut from old tin” templates that are floating around recently. The large 6 pointed star is actually considered the “open tulip” (visualize looking down into a fully open tulip) and is a symbol for health and happiness. It has old, crusty green paint and on the back side, there is some old paper stuck to it….probably from a paper pattern that the template was helping to create. The smaller 5 pointed star is the symbol for good luck and has a wonderful dry old surface with a bit of rust on the edges. The large star is 6” across, the small star is 3 ½”. Great additions to any quilting or sewing collection. Be sure to take a look at my other auction items to see some great early items.
