This auction is for a great wrought-iron bootscrape in the shape of a lyre with decorative scrolled ends and made sometime the nineteenth century. The base is adorned with geometric incised decoration. It (and another bootscrape I have listed) was discovered in the attic of an old-time Pennsylvania estate and may have been made there, possibly by a Pennsylvania German blacksmith. It measures 10 inches in height and approximately 13.5 inches in width. It is in very good condition with surface wear appropriate for its age. Don't hesitate to email me with any questions, and please check out my other auctions. !
