"The Pacific" signed 12x18 photo personally hand autographed by (18) WWII veterans who served with either E.B. Sledge K/3/5, Robert Leckie H/2/1, or John Basilone on Guadalcanal/ Iwo Jima who were the inspiration for HBOs "The Pacific" miniseries. PLEASE NOTE a portion of the proceeds from this auction will be donated to Honor Flights an organization that honors WWII veterans by transporting veterans to Washington, DC to see the National World War II Memorial. The Pacific movie poster is autographed by the following 18 WWII veterans who were the inspiration for the new HBO mini series The Pacific: -Richard Greer WWII USMC 7th Marine Reg., 1st Marine Division, Guadalcanal, Served with John Basilone on Guadalcanal. Mr. Greer appears in several of the introduction clips of HBOs The Pacific speaking about his experiences with John Basilone on Guadalcanal. -Corporal James Anderson WWII 1943-1946 K/3/5 Battle of New Britain, Peleliu, Okinawa, Bronze Star (Okinawa), Purple Heart (New Britain hit in left leg with shrapnel from Japanese mortar). Served in the same company with E.B. Sledge. -Frank Pomroy WWII H/2/1 Guadalcanal, Cape Gloucester, Peleliu, Purple Heart Recipient. Appears in famous Peleliu War Bond photograph. Served in the same company with Robert Leckie. -Dick Kerin WWII Paramarine/ B Company, 1st Battalion, 27th Marines, Iwo Jima, Silver Star Recipient (3rd highest military decoration). Served with John Basilone on Iwo Jima. -D.T. Hargraves WWII F Company 2nd Battalion, 1st Marine Regiment Cape Gloucester on New Britain, Battle of Peleliu, Okinawa, China. Recipient of four Purple Hearts. Appears in the famous Okinawa Wana Ridge photograph providing cover fire with his M1 Thompson submachine gun. The Okinawa Wana Ridge photograph of Mr. Hargraves later appeared on the cover of E.B.
