's a vintage PACKARD BRAKES lighted sign. This is a MODEL 1000 STREAMLINER manufactured by THE OHIO ADVERTISING DISPLAY COMPANY. I feel certain that this sign dates to the late 1930s or 1940s. It's made of metal with a grey crackle finish and a reverse-painted glass insert. The glass insert has ridges on the front side and a few small chips in the paint. The night photo I've included did not turn out very well, but it should give an idea of how this sign looks when illuminated. The body of this sign is in nice condition with some normal wear, but no dents or dings . It comes with a hanging chain and the four rubber feet are intact. I can't guarantee that the electrical cord is original, but it looks old and it's in good condition. This sign measures about 26-3/8" in length x 5-3/8" tall x 3-5/8" deep. Guaranteed to be old and authentic. Feel free to e-mail with questions. NO RESERVE! The lucky high bidder agrees to pay the actual shipping rate for twelve pounds from zip code 79601. Payment must be received within 10 days of close of auction unless other arrangements are made. Satisfaction guaranteed. Be sure to check my other auctions for more unuaul stuff. I combine shipping costs for multiple purchases. Thanks!
