Paden City ARDITH 7-5/8"Pitcher Topaz Yellow Cherry Blossom Design DESCRIPTION: Up for bid is a beautiful used Paden City Glass Company Ardith pitcher in the pastel yellow color called topaz that is in excellent condition. This optics on this pitcher make it very attractive while refracting the light. This wonderful pitcher has the Paden City Ardith pattern. The design is etched cherry blossoms and leaves.The piece is listed in "Schiffers Elegant Glass" book as "Pitcher 7.75"#179, flat, spherical without ice lip, 82 oz.,Yellow".The piece is in very good condition with minor scratches for the age of this piece. As is typical with this circa of Paden City glassware there are often minor bubbles, straw marks along with imperfections in the glass that happened during the manufacturing process. This piece is no exception. There are no chips on the edges, no cracks or staining. There are only a couple of small flea ticks which look like small bubbles near the bottom of the piece (just 1 under the lower portion of the etching pictured and two smaller down to the 2" to right of the handle about 1" from the base) . A good glass repairer should be able to buff or use special polish to remove to the ticks if desired. In my opinion, this wouldn’t be necessary as they don't detract from the loveliness of the piece.
