Offered today is a Fine and Rare Vinegar Paint decorated greenware sugar bowl with original lid. Outstanding original condition which no repairs or paint touchups. Vibrant paint decoration! Quarter 1/4 "fan" and "birdseye" decoration in red/umber on a mustard ground/base paint. Original knob finial remains unbroken. Slightly out of round, both top and bottom, as lid must be positioned just so in order to fit. Measures 4-1/2" diameter x 4-1/2" high. Paint retention is exceptional as is condition with no chips. A "best" example for condition and decoration. Highly sought after and rarely seen in this fine condition. Needs nothing and is in ready to use/display condition. Surface is right as rain and has not been monkeyed with. So hard to find these days, and would be in the thousands at a major show.
