Offered for sale is Item No. 1589 PONY & BOX SIGNED ~ ULTRA LOW 1E / 0287 ~ NO RESERVE Created by Native American artist Buddy Tubinaghtewa (Hopi) , "Grandfathers Journey" is painted with traditional Hopi imagery - corn maidens, rain clouds, pottery designs - and personal memories collected from Buddy's childhood. As the hang tag states, "As a young boy growing up on the Hopi mesas of Northern Arizona, Buddy would accompany his grandfather, a Hopi war chief, as he made his rounds on the back of a donkey, checking on the corn fields and herding sheep. Years later, when he developed into a multi-talented artist, collected by enthusiasts from around the world, Buddy would credit his grandfather's gift for storytelling with the imagery of Kachina figures, corn maidens, and lightning storms that found their way into his cottonwood carvings, his mystical oil paintings and his fabulous Painted Pony." This pony is an ARTIST SIGNED, FIRST EDITION with a sequence number of 0287 ! What makes this item even more special is that BUDDY HAS SIGNED THE OUTSIDE OF THE BOX! Of course, the pony is BRAND NEW in its original box with hang tag, bag, and styrofoam, and has been stored since purchase in a SMOKE FREE HOME. It has only been removed from its box for signing, to take the photos, and for inspection. Please note: The box is slightly dented
