This classic chairs were first designed in 1952 and were in continuous production by Knoll until 1976. Designated by Knoll as a 'model 71', the chair was designed using a then state of the art molding technique which helped to create the continuous curves of the chair's profile. The walnut veneer bent wood legs were also considered the height of modernism in the 1950s. This gorgeous matched pair comes to you fresh from the original, one-owner's non-smoking and pet-free Central Florida estate. Each chair measures 31 inches tall and 26 inches wide. Seat height is 17 inches. Fabric is a multicolored woven tweed fabric as shown. The chairs are clean and their condition is remarakably excellent. T are no rips, tears, snags, stains, loose stitching or repairs. These chairs have been extremely well cared for and their continued vibrant colors attest to that care. The back rest and seat foam is soft and pliable. Very comfortable. The chairs are solid with no loose joints. Minor leg scuffing consistent with age and normal use. Very reasonable reserve. The legs will be removed for shipping so delivery will be inexpensive.
