Up for auction are 3 pair of game worn Detroit Tigers pants.One of the pair was worn by # 4 Billy Bean the year was 1987. Billy Bean was one of the first pro athletes to come out and acknowledge he was gay. Billy Bean also has a #1 selling book called going the other way lessons from a life in and out of the major leagues. The other pair was worn by #59 in 1986 and by the bat boy in 1985. The Billy Bean pair does have a hole in the right shin from sliding. I received the pants from the Detroit Historical Museum you will get a copy of the Receipt. You can also visit the web site at . On the inside of the pants you will see a series of numbers that indicate who wore them and when. the first number is the players #4 the next number is the year 87 the next number will be a 2 for away pants and the last number is the pant size.
