Pair antique bronze pirate bookends from the Art Deco period of the 1930's. They are made by P Beneduce. His mark is on the backside. Made from cast mold pompeian bronze. They are 7 inches tall and 5 inches wide. T is faint cracking of the paint. Paint is original with no touch ups. The pair is mentioned in Kuritzky & DeCosta's "Collector's Encyclopedia of Bookends", plate 1580. A very nice pair in terrific condition.
