PAIR ANTIQUE c1800 CHINESE GILT WIRE CLOISONNE VASES Description This pair of antique circa early 1800's or late 18th century Chinese cloisonne vases, are worked in gilt copper with squat rounded bodies with lovely waisted necks. They are decorated in bright enamels with soldered gilded copper wires with peonies to one side and prunes to the other and lotus flowers to the neck against turquoise grounds. The shoulders have bands of various fruiting branches against a red ground with ruyi head border to the rim. This fabulous pair of little vases are not marked. One has a dink to the foot rim with adjacent bruising to the surface of the enamel. It also has tiny surface blisters just above the central blue prunes flower. The other vase has two bruises to the peonies with three small surface bruises. Height 11cm. Please email us should you have any questions.
