Pair Antique c1880 French Champleve Enamel and Bronze Vases or Candlesticks...from my own personal collection...approx 9" tall with very unusual shaped handles...Very beautifully decorated...the intricate detail of the champleve enamel is amazing..in stunning colours that work well together..very well made . no doubt hours and hours of work have gone into them...they stand on white marble bases that have a few tiny flea bites around the rims...but this is only to be expected with age..c1880..the handles look almost like elephant ears..one of the handles needs tightened up..the screws are there but are very old...please note pic no. 5 the inner part of the vases are not the same ...there appears to be a bit missing from one of them...! They look like vases but as you can see they may have been used as candlesticks..it is possible that they have been part of a garniture set, and would have stood at either side of a clock !! They display beautifully and they would look amazing when cleaned and polished up..a 'must have' for any collector..!!
