This is a fine pair of antique Dutch colonial teakwood arm chairs, c1860, which have recently been fully restored and upholstered. Their style is essentially Carolean or Restoration, and also reflects a Baroque influence with a decorative double scroll crest top rail, and barley twisted side rails on the seat back. Seat rests upon barley twisted legs divided by an arched and scrolled front stretcher and twisted "H" stretcher. Newly upholstered with red and gold striped Marciani on the seat, and red and gold Golgoni on the back from Jab-Germany. Measure 24" wide by 49" high by 23" deep.
