Sign up for my email newsletters by adding my eBay Store to your Favorites Pair of Antique Porcelain Chinese Jars / Vases ESTATE FIND ~ Stunning Pair of Antique Handpainted Porcelain Chinese Jars , or Jardineres, from old Fort Worth estate. I have not seen any others like these. I think they are Chinese, but perhaps Japanese. I was told they are quite old, but I don't know how old. The colors are extraordinary ~ aqua blue, golden brown, and black on a creamy white background. Talented artist. These lovely glazed jars are the same size ~ 5 3/8 inches in diameter across base; 3 5/8 inches in diameter across mouth; 24 inches in circumference at widest point; and each stands 6 3/4 inches high. One has a bird in a tree motif on both sides with flowers in between. The other has a similar bird in a tree motif on one side with a butterfly/floral on the opposite side, and similar floral patterns to the other jar. Borders around bases are different. Floral motifs around tops are similar. Bottoms of each jar are marked / signed. Very h eavy. CONDITION: These may have had lids at one time, but there are no lids. Each has a similar line/repair? extending a short distance from the mouth (see photos 4, 5, 6 & 7). It could be a putty of some kind. I don't know. No chips (one pop in the mouth of one jar (see photo 6). I don't see any cracks. There
