Gilt-spelter figures by French sculptor Ernest Rancoulet (ac. 1870-1915) renowned for his bronze statues and active from the 3rd quarter of the 19th century in France. One depicts a dancing woman The other a dancing man. Both in formal period attire. Signed with sculptor's name on the base. Each statue is approximately 10" tall. This pair of statues were made in the second half of the 19th century in France, and were produced to satisfy the growing popularity of smaller decorative bronzes towards the end of the 1800s. Very good original condition. With minor wear on the gilding. No Reserve. Starting price less than value of 1 statue.
