Description: Pair of Antique Bracelets with Intricate Cut Sterling Filigree Open-Work and Extremely Large Fine Real Garnet Cabochons. Unusual pair of bracelets (not exact matches, though obviously closely related). GIA Appraiser identified as extremely large real natural garnet cabochons. Because these garnets are so large and thick, their color will look different depending on the type and angle of the light; They can anywhere from a very dark burgundy-blackberry color, to more of a rich dark raspberry red color. All stones are securely prong set with open backs framed by raised domes of beautiful silver cut open-work to allow more light underneath stones. Bracelet with single stone has huge cabochon about 1"long x 3/4" wide x 1/2" high. Bracelet with three stones has largest cabochon a little over 3/4" long x 1/2" wide x 1/3" high. Intricate cut open-work through-out bracelets looks lovely front and back. Very interesting closing/locking mechanisms are different on each bracelet. Marked 925 and unidentified bird mark. These bracelets are likely European in origin from the early 1900s . Please read below for more measurements and details on condition. Approximate Measurements: When closed, the bracelets are somewhat adjustable with a maximum inside diameter of about 6½". The single stone bracelet is about 1¼" wide; read more
