NICE PAIR OF SOLID SILVER BALUSTER CANDLESTICKS Hallmarked Vienna, Austria, 13 Loth Silver, Year 1851. Maker's Mark: "J.W." Sleek and elegant designs. Excellent craftsmanship, fine detail with mirror polish. Total approx. 310 grams (27.5 ounces) of solid 812/1000 Silver (ca. 8 troy ozs of fine silver) Sticks are not weighted (but traces at foot bottoms indicate they once had weights installed). Condition Details (please read carefully and check all pictures): One stick has an old patched repair at the bottom of the foot. Both sticks have moderate surface scratching and wear from use and cleaning, consistent with age. Both sticks are nicely straight, but have a few minor dings and nicks & t They still look very beautiful in ambient light. Sizes and Weights: Both sticks are 8" (20.3 cm) high. Foot diameter at bottom: 4-1/2" (11.4 cm). Top end diameter: 2-1/8" (5.4 cm). Candlehole: 13/16" (2 cm) diameter and 1" (2.5 cm) deep. Total weight of pair: approx. 11 ozs (310 grams).
