Two signed McClelland Barclay dog figurine matchbook holders; one a Scottish Terrier, the other a Cocker Spaniel or perhaps a Long-Haired Dachsund. Barclay, a famous jewelry and accessories designer died in 1943 and I'm told these are from the 1930s. Both measure about three inches long; the Scottie stands about 2 1/2 inches high; the other about 3 inches high. U.S. buyer pays $8 shipping plus insurance. International buyers, please email for shipping costs. I accept checks, money orders and PayPal. Insurance is required. Please respond by email within 3 days. Payment expected within 7 days. Thanks for looking!
A kind Ebayer wrote the following: "You have two nice matchbook holders. A matchbook was slipped in with the striker in the open space. Strikers are no longer on the front of matchbooks for safety reasons. These date to the mid 1930's or so and the finish appears to be Barclay's natural bronze. Retail would have been about $3.00!
