Nice vintage matched pair of of Rope edge fiberglass shell chairs by Charles Eames for Zenith plastics, circa 1950. These were aquired from the original owners. These are translucent pale yellow with lots of fiber. The bases are the standard "X" base, solid steel. The glide's do not appear to be original. Both chairs have nice, intact labels. Both chairs are very clean with no damage. T is some very light shock mount bleed through, typical of these lighter colored chairs, but certainly nothing offensive. A few minor dings, scratches & light wear overall, but again, nothing major. Heck, they're 50+ years old. T are 3 loose shockmounts that need to be re-glued. Two fronts on one chair, & one front on the other chair. I know t is a special glue for these, but i don't have any, so I will leave it up to you. The shockmounts themselves are in excellent condition with no rotting or cracking. All the screws appear to be original. Overall, a really nice pair of these Classic chairs.
