Offered for auction is this beautiful pair of art glass decanters made by Daum Cristallerie of France. The lids of the decanters are made of 'pate de verre' (literally: glass paste), in the 'Cactus' or 'Coupelle' (French for cactus) decor. The 'Cactus' decor was developed by American designer, Hilton McConnico, from Memphis, TN, who worked at Daum Cristallerie from 1987. The decanters have had felt-bottoms for protection. I have passed my fingers several times over the lids and have not found any rough spots on them either. Both decanter-bottoms read more
