English Antique Pottery. Early part of the 19th Century. PAIR of matching MASONS PATENT IRONSTONE CHINA BOWLS. Probably large soup bowl. PATTERN: "IMARI" Hand painted Floral Design decoration. Scalloped rim with Lustre paint. SHAPE: Large fluted scalloped wide rimmed with deep recessed bowl. COLOR: Bright Blue with some Flow Blue and Bright Orange. Gold Lustre paint around the scalloped edge rim. SIZE: 9 1/2" diameter x 1 5/8" deep AGE: Early part of the 19th century CONDITION: (See photos) One is perfect in the front, but has a short thin hairline at the rim on one side. Looks to be stabilized. Not noticeable The other bowl is perfect structurally , but has some slight thin scratch marks on the front. HALLMARK: Impressed in the Ironstone on back of each bowl, 'masons patent ironstone china' Beautiful and matching PAIR to display on a mantle or buffet.
