This auction offers a pair of beautiful Bristol glass mantle vases. This fine opaque white glass was made and handpainted in England during the last half of the nineteenth century. These vases are an impressive 12 1/2" high and about 5 3/4" across. They are decorated with an unusually attractive scenic design of Roman chariots, high spirited horses and three women trying to hold them. The necks and bases are accented with shaded rusty orange with enamel detail. Both vases are in excellent estate condition with no chips, cracks or repairs. T is some minor paint loss on the accent details only. Really an exciting addition to a collection or the perfect accent for your period home! The cost of U.S. shipping and very careful packing varies with your postal zone. Please see the USPS estimate above.
