Starting our listings with the first pieces of the finest load we have purchased this year to date; with our most sincere compliments we present you with this remarkable pair of wonderfully inlaid Hepplewhite style custom quality mahogany Pembroke tables. This stunning pair of Pembroke tables has all the bells and whistles being inlaid with a wide satinwood band around their tops, pinwheels on the tops of each right and left legs, bellflower inlays running down the each of the front legs, checkerboard inlay across the fronts, and wide satinwood string inlays running every around these tables other boarders. Each table is appointed with lovely dovetailed drawers and fine highly polished brass hardware. These are the finest pair of Pembroke tables being offered anyw on e-Bay with no close seconds! Please, take a moment and research the superior quality of these tables. Each of these fine specimens measure 28 ¼âe long, 20âe wide and 26âe tall with the tables being 36 ½âe(tm) long with the drop leafs in their opened position. FURNITURE WOODS 101 We get a lot of questions on whether or not the furniture we list is comprised of solid wood or veneered. We would like to take this opportunity to give our customers a brief explanation of the construction of antique furniture. Most specialty cuts of wood i.e., tiger maple, birdâe(tm)s eye maple, tiger oak (a.k.a. quarter sawn) crotched mahogany, Cuban mahogany, burled walnut, flame birch, flame cherry, etc., are applied to furniture via veneers. These choice cuts of woods are prohibitively expensive that they very rarely used these in solid wood form. However, t were exceptions to this. When we are fortunate to encounter one of these exceptions, we try to be clear in identifying the solid wood construction. In most cases, these woods are no longer available at any price. If our listing doesnâe(tm)t state that it is made of solid wood, then the furniture was made from a combination of veneers and solid secondary woods. We list the specialty woods in our listings first, as that is the most prominent feature. Please read descriptions carefully and look at all photos. Ask any questions that you may still have. Requests of additional photos are encouraged, as we are limited to the amount of space allocated for photos.
