Description of item for sale: This nice pair of urns is from France and they date to the late 1800’s. The pair is in good antique condition with several minor issues. The urns are spelter and the bases are black marble with gilt highlights. It looks to us that the urns originally were bronze colored but the finish has mostly worn off with just a little bronze color remaining and t The marble bases show a few very small edge chips. The marble color is jet black and shows no white oxidation. T is some sort of coating on the marble-it looks OK but would be better if it were stripped and refinished with marble polish. Dimensions: 13.5“ high, 7“ across at the handles, 4” deep. Weight: 4.5 lb. (2 kg) each.
