Pair of HB Quimper Berthe Savigny Bebes Bookends Book Ends I think everyone loves the Savigny babies, and this set of bookends is a prime example of her talent. They show two young children, a boy and a girl, seated on benches. They're both dressed in Breton costumes, with Celtic designs on their hats (or coiffe) and their shirts. The girl is holding a bowl and spoon. The boy has light green trousers and purple sleeves on his jacket, and one of his sabots has slipped off. These bookends are about 7 1/2" tall, 5" wide and 5 3/4" deep. They date to the late 20's or early 30's, and are in excellent condition, with a few tiny specks of missing glaze. Each is signed B. Savigny HB Quimper, and the signatures look as if they could be from the same artist. If you buy more than one item, I am happy to combine them to save on postage. Please wait for a combined invoice. If you pay for the items together, I can ship them together. VA residents will need to add 5% tax and overseas buyers should determine the Customs obligations of their countries. When free shipping is offered, it is for the 48 contiguous states. I will give a shipping discount to buyers from Alaska and Hawaii. Shipping includes insurance and delivery confirmation.
