VERY BEAUTIFUL PAIR OF LARGE Czeck Blown Spatter Glass or End of The Day Art Glass Candlesticks C. 1930. Spatter Glass or End of the Day Glass was blown at the end of the day from the remains of the colored glass used during the day. These colorful orange and black glass candlesticks, with traces of yellow, red, blue and green, were probably made by Kralik in Czechoslovakia before WWII, during the 1930’s. Although unmarked, they are very similar in color and style to other pieces made by Kralik. The candlesticks are in remarkably good condition, with only a very slight roughness along a tiny bit of the rim. The vasiform shape is enhanced with a glass bead around the stem, just before the flair of the base. A bulbous glass ring supports the candle cup. The flairing ring is curved up at the edge to catch any candle wax drippings. Height: 10 ¼ inches. Base Diameter: 4 inches. Top Diameter: 2 inches. This would be a fine addition to your art glass collection!
