A superb and truly impressive pair of well potted ironstone vases which have been vibrantly decorated with the deepest flow blue raised floral chinoiserie pattern and then finished with a wonderful shiny blue glaze. T is decoration to the inner rims and the vases have ornate deep blue pierced relief moulded handles. MAKER: Any ideas or information gratefully received... DATE: CONDITION: The lip of the same vase has touched another in the kiln and t is a small colour miss to the rim (photo), t is a similar blemish under the rim of the other vase and the thick blue glaze has pooled a little to the inner rim. The camera has brightened and hardended the colour a little which in reality is warmer and deeper. DIMENSIONS: The vases are large and relatively heavy and I would ask any interested overseas bidders to email for shipping information before the end of the auction if this is at all an issue.
